We see the Bouffay tower, rue de la Brêle, destroyed in 1848.

The painter, born in 1810, Adolphe Rouargue, studied with the sculptor David d'Angers.

He exhibited seascapes, landscapes, especially watercolors

and collaborated on the famous magazine of the time, Le Magasin Pittoresque.

The drawing, on brown paper, measures 21 x 27.5 cm,

and the wooden and glass frame 29 x 36 cm high.
